RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mechanic’s primary goal is to identify and complete all necessary repairs needed
  • Inspecting each unit for any defects, missing paperwork, loose parts etc.
  • Return defective parts and follow up with Parts coordinator as required
  • Diagnose and repair any unit brought into the shop.
  • Check all repaired work to ensure that vehicles are in good and safe operating condition.
  • Review documentation and or repair order to ensure all required information on repair order is accurate legible and complete.
  • Record parts and equipment utilized on the repair order and ensure the parts person is aware of stock taken
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area e.g.
  • Clean up any scrap/garbage, ensure hoses/cords are rolled up and store correctly.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hold a valid truck and transport mechanics license 310T
  • 310S would be an asset
  • Hands-on experience in shop processes
  • Understand and adhere to the Ministry of Transportation rules and regulations.

Dependable Emergency Vehicles, one of Canada’s leading manufacturers and service providers for fire and emergency apparatus, is currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused In-House Sales Representative to join our growing team at our Brampton headquarters. This role is ideal for an individual with strong communication skills and a passion for providing high-quality solutions to fire departments, municipalities, and emergency services across the country.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming sales inquiries and provide accurate product information
  • Prepare quotes and proposals for apparatus
  • Support outside sales reps with customer follow-ups and order processing
  • Maintain CRM records and coordinate with internal departments
  • Build long-term relationships with existing and new clients

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Sales or customer service experience (preferably in technical or industrial products)
  • Experience in emergency services or fleet industries is an asset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities:

  • Install new 12 Volt electrical assemblies such as Emergency Lighting on emergency response vehicles - (pick-ups, suv and cars, etc.)
  • Pull wires and airlines and harnesses through chassis and body.
  • Connect wires and harnesses to cab
  • Connect and disconnect truck batteries and necessary electrical wiring.
  • Troubleshoot electrical system faults
  • Provide cut-outs in the cab and body to facilitate equipment mounting
  • Read Electrical schematics

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in 12 Volt Electrical systems
  • Experienced and non-experienced welcome,
  • Must have some knowledge of electrical and tool operations such as screwdrivers, wrenches, impact drivers, hand drills etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and direct the flow of units across all production bays.
  • Walk the plant floor daily to track build progress, identify bottlenecks, and support crews in staying on schedule.
  • Coordinate unit movements between departments to maintain steady workflow.
  • Communicate real-time updates and issues to production managers and senior leadership.
  • Verify that drawings, specifications, and customer requirements are followed at each stage.
  • Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and service to resolve delays quickly.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports on unit status, progress, and risks.

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years’ experience in production, scheduling, or manufacturing coordination (automotive, truck, or specialty vehicle manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; comfortable interacting with shop leads and crews.
  • Ability to read and interpret production schedules, drawings, and work orders.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive in solving problems.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook); scheduling software experience an asset.
